About this role
Accountabilities: You will oversee the development and delivery of full-stack features, ensuring alignment with product roadmaps, organizational objectives, and quality standards. Design, develop, test, and deploy production-ready software across backend services and frontend applications. Build and operate cloud-native solutions on AWS, prioritizing reliability, scalability, performance, and security. Develop and maintain backend services primarily using .NET and C#. Contribute to frontend development, including React component design and API integration. Implement and support Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS) patterns where appropriate. Use AI-assisted coding tools, including Copilot CLI, Claude Code, and Codex, to accelerate feature delivery, refactor code, improve tests, and support documentation. Develop and manage agent-driven coding workflows, coordinating multiple AI agents to build, test, and iterate on features in parallel. Refine code through iterative AI feedback loops, including prompting, validation, and continuous improvement. Review and audit AI-generated code to ensure accuracy, security, maintainability, and compliance with engineering standards. Establish guardrails, validation patterns, and review processes that promote the safe and reliable use of AI-generated output. Manage multiple parallel workstreams effectively, maintaining clarity around feature ownership, dependencies, and deliverables. Collaborate with Product, QA, and engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality software aligned with business objectives. Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards, technical practices, and continuous improvement. Embed security, compliance, and quality considerations throughout the application stack. Support and mentor other engineers through pairing, constructive feedback, and knowledge sharing. Requirements The ideal candidate is an experienced full-stack engineer with strong backend and frontend capabilities, cloud expertise, and practical experience using AI tools as part of everyday software development. Demonstrated experience building, deploying, and maintaining production software systems. Strong full-stack development skills, particularly with .NET/C# on the backend and React on the frontend. Hands-on experience with relational and document databases at scale, including schema design, query optimization, and production performance troubleshooting. Proficiency with AWS services and infrastructure, including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, IAM, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB. Practical, day-to-day experience using AI-assisted coding tools to deliver real production software, beyond experimentation or occasional use. Ability to explain clearly how AI-generated code is validated, tested, reviewed, and maintained, demonstrating strong engineering ownership. Understanding of software quality, security, maintainability, and testing best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently while contributing to shared engineering goals. Preferred qualifications: Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated and compliance-driven environments. Work environment and physical requirements: Work is primarily performed in an indoor office environment, involving regular use of computers and printers. The position is largely sedentary, with extended periods of sitting. Requires continuous typing and repetitive movements while using computer hardware and software. Requires sustained concentration on analytical tasks, reading information, and communicating verbally and in writing throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Additional duties may be assigned according to business needs. Certain compliance requirements may apply, including background checks, drug screenings, and requests for personal or health information, subject to applicable legal protections and exemptions.
