Your drive and ideas will help us move faster, improve smarter, and stay ahead of the game.What you’ll doGroup Accounting Policy & GovernanceDevelop, maintain, and continuously improve the Group Accounting Policy ManualEstablish clear, practical accounting guidance for business unitsEnsure alignment between policy, IFRS requirements, and business applicationDrive consistent application of accounting policies across all entitiesTechnical Accounting AdvisoryAct as the subject matter expert on IFRS and complex accounting mattersPrepare technical accounting papers and position memosSupport business units in applying appropriate accounting treatmentsFinancial Reporting ComplianceEnsure the Group’s consolidated financial results are technically compliant with IFRSReview financial statements and disclosures for technical accuracySupport the preparation of annual and interim financial reportsIdentify and mitigate technical accounting risksNew Standards & IFRS ImplementationMonitor new and amended accounting standardsAssess their impact on the Group and support implementationTranslate IFRS updates into actionable internal guidanceAssist with training finance teams on new requirementsAudit & Risk ManagementSupport engagement with external auditors on technical accounting mattersProvide robust technical documentation and analysisContribute to reducing audit findings and technical reporting risksStrengthen governance and internal controls over financial reportingStakeholder SupportPartner with operational finance, tax, treasury, and legal teamsProvide clear, practical guidance on complex transactionsDrive understanding and consistent application of accounting treatmentsTraining & CommunicationConducting workshops and training sessions on accounting policies.Developing quick-reference guides and FAQs for policy users.Ensuring policies are accessible and understandable to non-technical users This list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.What you’ll bringYou’re someone who brings:CA(SA) or equivalent accounting qualification.5-7 years experience in technical accounting or policy writing.Strong understanding of IFRS and regulatory frameworks.Experience in drafting accounting manuals or technical memos.Experience working with external auditors and managing audit processesStrong attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations.Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals.Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope.Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeveIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends.Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations.Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards.Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies.Familiarity with SOX Compliance, or compliance within a listed environment.Hands-on experience with business and financial software preferred.MS Dynamics Business Central.FloQast, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1/Cognos) and Workiva.
