The role supports the Tax Compliance Manager by ensuring that tax data, reconciliations, and compliance outputs are reliable and well documented, contributing to effective tax governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness in a NYSE listed environment. What you’ll doYou’ll take ownership of work that gives us our competitive edge, including:Tax Compliance PreparationPrepare tax returns, declarations, and supporting schedules across relevant tax types, including corporate income tax, provisional taxes, gaming taxes, indirect taxes (VAT/GST, sales tax), withholding taxes and payroll related taxes (where applicable)Ensure calculations are accurate, complete, and supported by appropriate documentationData Collection and ProcessingCollect financial and transactional data from accounting systems and local finance teamsCompile and organise data required for tax calculations and filingsEnsure data is formatted and prepared in line with compliance requirements and templatesData Validation and ReconciliationPerform reconciliations between tax returns and financial records monthly or as requiredValidate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistencyInvestigate discrepancies and escalate issues to the Tax Compliance ManagerCompliance Calendar and Deliverables SupportSupport management of tax compliance timelines and deliverablesTrack submission status and ensure all required information is provided on timeComplete and keep tax compliance registers up to date for assigned entities or jurisdictionsDocumentation and Record KeepingMaintain well organised and up to date tax files, working papers, and supporting documentationEnsure all work is audit ready, traceable, and aligned with internal standards and SOX requirementsTax Authority and Audit SupportCompile supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation as requestedMaintain logs of information requests and responsesTax Governance and Control ExecutionFollow the organisation’s Tax Governance Framework and compliance proceduresApply established controls and processes to ensure accuracy and completenessIdentify and escalate any control issues, errors, or risksExternal Advisor Coordination SupportAssist with information requests from external tax advisors as communicated to you by Tax Compliance ManagersProvide data and documentation required for filings or reviewsTrack deliverables by updating tax registers and ensure timely responsesTeam Collaboration and DevelopmentWork closely with Tax Compliance Manager, International Tax Analyst, other Tax Compliance Specialists and Finance teamsDevelop technical knowledge of tax compliance processes and requirementsContribute to knowledge sharing and best practice within the teamThis list covers your core responsibilities – with plenty of room to stretch, explore and take on new challenges as we grow.What you’ll bringYou’re someone who brings:Clear, confident communication (written and verbal), and the ability to breakdown complex ideasA collaborative mindset, working smoothly with cross‑functional teams to hit shared goalsStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects without dropping the ballExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workAdaptability – you stay sharp, productive and positive in fast‑moving environmentsBachelor’s degree in finance or accountingHonours degree in Tax / Master’s degree in Tax will be advantageousProfessional qualification CA(SA), CPA, CTA, or equivalent5 + years’ experience in tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reportingExperience in a multinational and / or listed company environment including jurisdiction across Europe, UK, NZ, Canada and Middle East.Strong knowledge of tax legislation and principles, OECD guidelines and BEPS initiativesStrong knowledge of tax accounting and reporting in line with IFRS (IAS 12)Ability to operate in a complex, multi‑jurisdictional environmentStrong analytical, governance, and risk management capabilityHigh level of integrity and professional judgmentExperience in Microsoft suite including Excel and MS WordAdd role-specific skillDesirable skills you’ve got up your sleeveIt would be great if you also have some of the following skills:Knowledge and experience with accounting and reporting software: Business Central / Navision and Microsoft TM1Knowledge and experience with tax software: Thomson Reuters (Orbitax and OTP)Experience or knowledge of SOXOur values are non-negotiablesOur culture is underpinned by core values that are linked to key behavioural competencies.
