About this role
Accountabilities: Define and lead end-to-end network architecture strategies that integrate IT and OT environments across manufacturing facilities, smart factories, corporate networks, and distributed operational sites. Design, implement, and optimize Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI) solutions for enterprise data centers and edge computing environments within industrial facilities. Architect and manage enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (IPAM) services using Infoblox, ensuring reliable network services and effective IP address allocation. Develop high-performance enterprise LAN/WAN architectures using Cisco and Aruba networking equipment and associated management platforms. Design and manage multi-cloud connectivity across AWS and Microsoft Azure, leveraging Azure ExpressRoute, virtual networks (VNets), VPN gateways, VNet peering, and AWS Transit Gateways. Lead complex routing and connectivity initiatives involving Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and software-defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN) across regional and global facilities. Establish secure IT/OT network boundaries, applying segmentation, micro-segmentation, next-generation firewalls, and zero-trust architecture principles to protect industrial control systems (ICS) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) environments. Integrate cloud-based security platforms, including Zscaler and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, to enable secure remote access for employees, contractors, and external vendors. Drive network automation initiatives using Python and Ansible to streamline configuration management, infrastructure provisioning, compliance auditing, and service deployment. Lead infrastructure lifecycle planning, technical evaluations, capacity planning, budgeting inputs, and deployment strategies for enterprise and manufacturing network upgrades. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot complex connectivity issues, and implement improvements that enhance availability, resilience, scalability, and operational efficiency. Serve as a senior technical advisor to executive leadership, IT directors, plant managers, OT engineers, and other stakeholders on network strategy, infrastructure modernization, and cybersecurity. Manage technical relationships with vendors, system integrators, telecommunications providers, and consultants to ensure solution quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with service-level agreements. Develop and maintain architecture blueprints, network topology diagrams, technical standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Mentor network engineers and technical teams, promoting knowledge sharing, consistent engineering practices, and continuous improvement across the organization. Requirements: At least 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, enterprise networking, and network architecture, with a strong background in designing and delivering complex network solutions. At least five years of direct experience designing, implementing, and supporting network environments in manufacturing, industrial facilities, or operational technology settings. Advanced hands-on expertise in Cisco ACI and Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM solutions, including enterprise data center architecture and core network services. Extensive experience designing and managing Cisco and Aruba LAN/WAN environments, including enterprise routing, BGP, OSPF, and SD-WAN technologies. Strong cloud networking expertise across Microsoft Azure and AWS, including Azure ExpressRoute, VNets, VPN gateways, cloud interconnectivity, and integration with enterprise infrastructure. Demonstrated knowledge of network security architecture, including IT/OT segmentation, micro-segmentation, next-generation firewalls, zero-trust principles, ZTNA, and secure remote access. Practical experience using Python and Ansible for network automation, infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and compliance monitoring. Strong understanding of manufacturing network environments, industrial connectivity requirements, and the security and availability needs of SCADA and ICS systems. Proven ability to lead complex infrastructure projects from architectural planning and technical evaluation through implementation, deployment, and ongoing optimization. Experience with infrastructure capacity planning, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, budget planning, and vendor management. Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior executives and collaborate effectively with IT, OT, operations, and engineering teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and SOPs. Demonstrated ability to mentor technical professionals, influence architectural decisions, manage competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement.
