Accountabilities:: Own Legal intake, triage, matter tracking, workflow administration, and status reporting, ensuring requests and matters are properly documented and followed through. Identify opportunities to streamline repetitive legal work through standardized processes, self-service resources, automation, and scalable workflows. Serve as the operational owner of the contract lifecycle management system and help define requirements for future legal technology solutions. Maintain corporate records, governance calendars, entity administration, and documentation supporting board and committee meetings, filings, and related activities. Maintain a consolidated compliance calendar covering policies, training, audits, certifications, filings, assessments, and recurring reviews. Coordinate compliance projects across Legal, Security, Engineering, Product, Finance, People, and other operational stakeholders. Support legal and administrative components of SOC 2, CMMC, privacy, accessibility, AI governance, and similar compliance initiatives. Maintain policy inventories, review schedules, approval records, version histories, and employee acknowledgment processes. Develop and maintain Legal playbooks, standard operating procedures, decision trees, training materials, precedents, and internal guidance. Coordinate cross-functional Legal projects by documenting decisions, owners, deadlines, dependencies, and follow-up actions. Act as a responsive point of contact for questions related to Legal processes, contract status, signatures, intake, records, and documentation. Train employees on Legal systems, processes, and workflows while promoting consistent adoption across the organization. Support outside-counsel operations, including tracking budgets, invoices, matters, and relevant performance information. Requirements 5+ years of experience in legal operations, senior paralegal work, corporate governance, contract operations, compliance operations, or a related field, ideally within an in-house technology, software, or AI environment. Demonstrated ability to design, improve, and own operational processes rather than simply administer established procedures. Hands-on experience with contract lifecycle management or matter-management systems, contract repositories, metadata, renewals, and corporate governance recordkeeping. Experience tracking outside-counsel budgets, invoices, matter information, or related legal spend data. Strong project management skills and the ability to coordinate complex initiatives across multiple functions and stakeholders. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and judgment, including the ability to recognize when an issue should be escalated to an attorney. Ability to handle confidential and privileged information with appropriate discretion and care. Comfortable working autonomously, prioritizing competing demands, and keeping Legal leadership appropriately informed. Experience with legal and business applications such as SpotDraft, Ironclad, DocuSign, HubSpot, Carta, or comparable platforms is valuable. A paralegal certificate, project management credential, or legal operations certification is preferred. Experience supporting privacy, security, AI, or accessibility compliance programs, including frameworks or requirements such as SOC 2, CMMC, or GDPR, is preferred. Experience supporting an international organization or a venture-backed Series B/C company is an advantage. Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% annually for conferences, off-site meetings, and other business-related events. Comfortable participating in on-site interviews and/or in-person onboarding when required. Benefits Base salary of $126,000–$157,500 USD, with equity opportunities.
