Job DescriptionThe Data Quality Analyst will work with diverse data sources to profile, validate, monitor and improve data quality across the organization.Support customer insights and business decision-making through the delivery of accurate, complete, and reliable data.Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions by advising on data quality controls, solution designs, and governance practices to ensure high-quality data outputs.Key Result Areas - Includes but is not limited to:Core Data Management & Data OperationsManage basic aspects of the data management system with guidance from senior colleagues. This includes developing and operating basic elements of data management systems to deliver prescribed outcomes.Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data quality, data integrity, and accuracy across critical business processes.Demonstrate understanding of data architecture, data governance, and data quality management principles.Extract, transform, validate, and analyse data from various sources using established standards and methodologies.Maintain data recording systems and processes, including data archiving, updating, reconciliation, and quality assurance activities.Interpret and analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, quality issues, and opportunities for improvement.Provide support and guidance to business users and stakeholders on effective use of data management systems and data quality practices.Data Quality ManagementPerform Data Profiling activities to assess completeness, accuracy, consistency, uniqueness, validity, and timeliness of data.Conduct Data Validation to ensure adherence to business rules, regulatory requirements, and data governance standards.Monitor ongoing Data Quality Metrics and identify trends, anomalies, and emerging quality issues.Define, implement, and maintain Data Quality Rules and controls across key business datasets.Produce and distribute Data Quality Reports that provide meaningful insights into data quality performance and areas requiring remediation.Develop and maintain Data Quality Scorecards for business units, data domains, and critical data elements.Track and report on Data Quality KPIs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and governance requirements.Oversee and coordinate Data Cleansing Activities, ensuring defects are remediated and data issues are resolved sustainably.Perform Root Cause Analysis of Data Defects and collaborate with business and technical teams to implement preventative controls.Conduct periodic Data Quality Audits to assess compliance with established policies, standards, and controls.Escalate significant data quality risks and recommend corrective actions to stakeholders and governance forums.Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing data accuracy, completeness, consistency, reliability, and usability.Data Modelling & GovernanceDesign logical and physical data models for projects and change initiatives.Collaborate with business analysts, developers, data engineers, and governance teams.Ensure data models align with enterprise data governance standards and data quality requirements.Optimise data models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.Maintain metadata, business definitions, data lineage documentation, and data quality standards.Support the implementation of enterprise data governance frameworks and data stewardship practices.
