Tasks Prepare standalone financial statements for the European entities under HGB/OR and IFRS, including notes/disclosures and management reports, as well as IFRS interim financial statements Take overall responsibility for the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement of the European entities Ensure accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including general ledger, sub-ledgers, provisions, and accruals Ensure the quality of all balance sheet positions through regular balance sheet analyses, account reconciliations, and cash flow reporting Hold functional and operational responsibility for the German and Swiss entities, and manage external accounting service providers for Norwegian operations Oversee the accounting treatment of assets and activities related to the UK business classified as "Held for Sale" Act as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, and external audit bodies Further develop an effective internal control system Serve as the central point of contact for complex accounting and financial reporting matters under HGB and IFRS (including IFRS 16, IFRS 5, impairment testing, purchase price allocations, intercompany reconciliations, foreign currency valuation) Own the annual budgeting and planning process, including forecasts and variance analyses Act as a business partner to operational units on financial matters and investment decisions Lead the realignment and modernization of the European accounting function Lead the Dynamics 365 Business Central upgrade and the standardization/digitalization of Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash Build, lead, and develop a high-performing accounting team (recruiting, coaching, development) Requirements Must-have Completed degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a comparable field Several years of leadership experience in accounting within an international company Proven experience managing multiple entities and countries Strong hands-on operational accounting experience Excellent knowledge of accounting under HGB and IFRS Fluent in English; German language skills are mandatory Nice-to-have Qualification as a certified public accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer), tax advisor (Steuerberater), or comparable Proven track record in transformation projects, organizational development, and ERP implementations Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or comparable ERP systems Strong communication, leadership, and change management skills Benefits A varied, strategically significant position with a high degree of personal and leadership responsibility Individual career and development opportunities within an internationally active company Attractive compensation with additional benefits such as Christmas and holiday bonuses, plus performance bonuses Company pension scheme Free water and coffee Employee discounts on company products Company events (summer party, Christmas party, company run) What happens next 📍 Bexbach | 📅 immediate start | ⏳ Full-time Send us your application – no need for a perfectly polished cover letter.
