Requirements: Qualifications & Experience: Grade 12 plus an N6 certificate or NCV Level 4 qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building/Construction, Property/Operations Management, Office Administration, or a related field.  The skills we need: <ul> <li>Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.</li> <li>Strong organisational and administrative skills.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail.</li> <li>Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.</li> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Good problem-solving and analytical skills.</li> <li>Ability to coordinate and follow up with contractors and service providers.</li> <li>Data capturing, interpretation and reporting skills.</li> <li>Basic understanding of facilities management, building operations, maintenance and OHS.</li> <li>Proactive approach, with the ability to work independently and willingness to learn.</li> </ul> Attributes required:  <ul> <li>Hands on/practical</li> <li>Problem solving mindset</li> <li>Proactive/takes initiative</li> <li>Collaborative</li> <li>Strong communication skills</li> <li>Curious/eager to learn. </li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills</li> </ul>   Key responsibilities: <ul> <li>Collect, capture, collate, analyse and present Facilities-related operational data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Assist with the administration and operation of Facilities systems, including access control, CCTV monitoring, maintenance/helpdesk systems, finance and procurement portals, and other relevant platforms.</li> <li>Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of Facilities projects, office moves, space changes and other building-related initiatives.</li> <li>Assist with physical inspections and maintenance activities across the building, including identifying and reporting issues relating to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general building maintenance and office infrastructure.</li> <li>Assist with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) compliance, including inspections, documentation, incident reporting, compliance records and corrective actions.</li> <li>Liaise with internal clients, contractors and service providers to coordinate maintenance, repairs, services and Facilities-related requests.</li> <li>Assist with obtaining and comparing supplier quotations, creating purchase requisitions and issuing purchase orders in accordance with company processes.</li> <li>Support the development, review and maintenance of SOPs, checklists, registers, compliance records and other Facilities documentation, while participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.</li> </ul>   This is an 18-month contract position High Level:  At the takealot Group, our Graduate Programme will help you build both technical and soft-skills to launch your career, learning from the best in the business.
