We are seeking a Digital Business Analyst with a special blend of business and technical acumen to join the team. This position offers flexible work arrangements and may be performed remotely, hybrid, or on-site at any AECOM office.The Digital BA will support our growing portfolio of digital advisory projects with our large capital improvement program clients. The Digital BA will work with senior APgMT team members to deliver transformative digital solutions across a wide array of functional areas, including Project Management Information Systems (PMIS), Asset Management, BIM, GIS, Communications, Finance, and more. Solutions may include commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software, custom AECOM-built applications, or a combination of both. This position provides the opportunity to learn many areas of the business of delivering large capital programs and the processes and technologies that support them. Projects vary in complexity and constraints, providing an environment for career progression.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current and emerging technologies, including analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions that may benefit our clientsIn collaboration with senior team members, work closely with client stakeholders to identify challenges, opportunities, and business needs related to program deliveryDefine and document as-is business processes, critical performance metrics, and program/project requirementsDevelop digital transformation roadmaps and change management strategies that align modern technologies with our client's business objectivesEvaluate existing business processes, systems, and technologies supporting program delivery and define requirements for improvementsUse critical thinking, data analytics, and business analysis techniques to examine existing business processes and to make recommendations for improvementTranslate documented requirements into system configurations, software business process workflows and reporting metrics (workflows, business rules, data dictionaries, use cases, reports, dashboards, and related artifacts)Participate in the discovery, design, testing, implementation, training, and rollout phases of software implementationIn collaboration with APgMT technical resources, support solution design, configuration, and validation activities to ensure business requirements are successfully implementedDevelop supporting documentation (user guides, training materials, user acceptance test plans, etc) Minimum Requirements:BS in CS, Engineering, Construction Management, other technical field or demonstrated equivalent experience or education4+ years of experience supporting, implementing, administering, or analyzing Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) within capital improvement programs, construction programs, or project controls environments.Experience implementing, configuring, administering, or supporting commercial PMIS platforms such as Kahua, Trimble e-Builder, Procore, Oracle Primavera Unifier, or similar solutions.Proven knowledge of capital improvement program management and construction contract managementDemonstrated experience using MS Office including Visio and MS ProjectTravel of up to 25% may be required based on project assignments, client needs, and business requirementsPreferred Requirements:Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of an organization including senior managers and executivesAbility to facilitate requirements gathering sessions and accurately document business processesAbility to assimilate client needs and translate them into software business requirementsExcellent organizational, time management and presentation skillsStrong technical aptitudeAbility to work alone as well as leading dynamic and collaborative team environmentsDemonstrated skills as a problem solverFamiliarity with generative AI tools, workflow automation platforms, or advanced analytics technologiesPractical experience in design/build construction deliveryKnowledge of project management accounting and financial reportingExperience analyzing and writing business and system requirements documentsData analysis, reporting, and dashboard developmentBusiness Analysis Certification (CBPA, PMI-PBA, etc) This position does not support sponsorship now or in the futureThis position does not support relocation assistanceTHIS POSTING IS FOR A CURRENT VACANCY, AND AECOM INTENDS TO FILL THIS POSITION BY DECEMBER 21, 2026.
