This role goes beyond report building and focuses on architecting scalable, reliable, and trusted BI solutions across the full BI ecosystem.The role requires a holistic understanding of the BI stack—from source systems and data transformation, through automation and semantic modelling, to reporting platforms and business consumption.Key Responsibilities Own BI solutions across the full lifecycle: Source systems, Automation, data transformation & reporting.Primary BI owner for South Africa, managing and resolving BI-related issues impacting local users and aligning with global requirements and recommendations on systems and reporting guidelines.Design, build, and maintain Power BI datasets, reports, workspaces and appsSAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) DevelopmentDesign and maintain SAC stories, templates, and landing pagesCreate and manage live models from BW queriesContribute to the evolution of SAP‑based analytics architecture, including SAP BW, SAP Analytics Cloud, and SAP Datasphere, in line with the Group roadmapSupport the transition from legacy SAP BW‑centric reporting to modern, cloud‑based analytics models where applicableImplement scalable transformations in SQL where appropriateBuild, maintain, and troubleshoot Power Automate flowsAct as internal business partner on the development and rollout of new reporting and analytical requirements across Sales, Marketing, Supply chain and Finance.Knowledge, Skills & ExperienceMinimum of 3-5 years’ experience in BI analytics or similar roleRelevant degree in Software Engineering or Information Technology.Experience with SAP analytics Cloud (JavaScript-based SAC scripting)Exposure to, or an understanding of, SAP Datasphere or modern cloud data platforms would be advantageousStrong experience in Power BI, SQL and Power automateStrong MS office skillsHigh caliber of professional interpersonal skills, with excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written)Personal Characteristics:Performance driven, tenacious and goal orientatedStrong communication and networking skillsStrong internal influencing skillsInnovative problem-solving ability and can facilitate changeAble to lead cross functional teams both internally and externallyProject-management experience – capable of managing numerous projects at once in a high-paced environmentAbility to think outside the box when searching for solutions to problemsHighly numerate with excellent analytical skills and attention to detailAble to set priorities and clear targetsHigh degree of flexibilityAble to grow with the level of responsibilities and with the size and structure of the business
